College Timeline

Juniors
- Put together a plan for taking the ACT, AP, SAT I, SAT II.
- Request counselor evaluation of your records.
- Join National Honor Society, if eligible.
- Start scholarship search.
- Ask parents to check on scholarships available through their employment, unions, and service organizations.
- Write to college admission offices for info, catalogues, and visitation dates.
- Narrow selection of colleges.
- Plan college visits.
- Athletes: Check with coach for NCAA eligibility requirements if you plan to play.
- Attend College Night and Career Day.

Seniors
- Request High School Counselor evaluation of coursework.
- Write for college applications and housing information.
- Sign up for required tests: ACT, AP, SAT I, SAT II.
- Identify potential sources of recommendations.
- Begin writing college essays.
- Gather income tax records for financial aid process.
- Attend Financial Aid Workshops.
- Apply for Scholarships. KEEP CHECKING FOR NEW OPPORTUNITIES.
- Join National Honor Society, if eligible.
- Photocopy Application Checklist and place copies in each college file you have.
