XERGAMES- Join the YMCA for a week where technology meets reality in the Virtual Vault. June 28-July 2 from 8:30am to 4:30pm (3)

(1) Fun, free family night to celebrate Waukesha youth.  Enjoy a free outdoor showing of Cloudy with a Chance of   Meatballs at Cutler Park (321 Wisconsin Avenue).  Bring your lawn chairs and blankets! *In case of rain, indoor location will be at La Casa de Esperanza (319 Arcadian Avenue).       

(2) Train for a volunteer opportunity to assist lifeguards with lessons during the summer. Training will take place at both Buchner Pool and Horeb Springs.  Participants must pre-register at the Parks, Recreation & Forestry Office.  (3) Activities include Xerdance, virtual reality bike rides, Treadwall Climbs, Sportwall relays and Wii contests. Contact the Waukesha YMCA for details: (262) 542-2557 or visit online: www.waukeshaymca.org

(4) Experience trail rides and group cycling. Learn bike safety, maintenance, proper hydration and nutrition. Bike and helmet are required; ages 10-14.  (262) 542-2557 or www.waukeshaymca.org

(5) The LIT program is designed to train and mentor youth in service and leadership skills. A facilitator will lead the group through a highly interactive training program and then teens will be asked to give to the community through their service in the playground program. Teens must participate in a group interview, complete the leadership workshop and volunteer a minimum of 10 hours per week for the playground program.
